Domenica started in 2004 in Winnipeg. Since then, the Manitoban natives have been working hard to further their reach in Canada and abroad.
Over the last 1½ years, Domenica performed in four countries, toured North America consistently, and toured with major bands such as Papa Roach and Grady. Performing a private, star-studded conference at the historic Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood has been just one of their recent career highlights. Over the last 1½ years, Domenica performed in four countries, toured North America consistently, and toured with major bands such as Papa Roach and Grady. Performing a private, star-studded conference at the historic Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood has been just one of their recent career highlights. The band also tracked three songs off their debut CD with P.O.D guitarist Marcos Curiel in Matt Sorum’s (Guns n’ Roses/Velvet Revolver) private Hollywood studio.
Following their Canadian CD release (09/15/09), Domenica’s single ‘Above Me’ achieved heavy radio and video rotation in Canada. Their Japanese release (09/09/09) saw a fervent public reception. Domenica’s CD was chosen as HMV Japan Online’s 1 pick on two separate occasions. Glossy hard rock magazines in Japan took notice, and have featured Domenica in full colour editorial spreads.
Domenica’s successful debut has surprised many in the business, who have watched them showcase repeatedly at key industry festivals over the years. Their persistence is paying off. Most recently, the band signed with Rodeostar/Sony for an early 2010 release and tour throughout Germany, Austria, and Switzerland and a full release through Australia in April 2010.
