Dido's 'No Angel,' released two years prior, found its audience in 2001 on the strength of rapper Eminem's era-defining single 'Stan,' which
sampled the chorus of Dido's own 'Thank You.' Her soft, cherubic vocals struck a chord with adult and adolescent alike, as she found her market
bridging the gap between mature singer-songwriter and dance/trip hop.
Following a successful collaboration with Carlos Santana on his 2002 album 'Shaman,' Dido released her second album, 'Life For Rent,' buoyed
by sales of the singles 'Life For Rent' and 'White Flag.
Since then she's released a live DVD, 'Dido Live At Brixton Academy,' appeared the Band Aid 20 single 'Do They Known It's Christmas' and lent
her vocals to the track 'Don't You Trust Me,' recorded by 2Pac before his murder in 1996 and released on December 2004 album 'Loyal To The
Game.' Both song and album were produced by Eminem. « hide |
