A Canadian Epic Death/Power Metal band. From their Facebook page:"Crimson Shadows was spawned from the minds of four dudes who wanted to hear something that was not out at the time. Greg, Ryan, Cory and Jimi all loved the harmonies and solos of power metal bands but they were all missing that underlying aggressiveness that makes people want to wind up punch each other in the dick. Using blast beats and guttural screams from death metal and combining it with the epic up-tempo guitar harmonies of power metal, they knew they had stumbled onto something great. In the spring of 2007 the guys started recording a 4 song EP. After the release, Crimson Shadows started getting recognized not only by Canadian fans but also several radio stations in the states. They continued to play shows throughout Ontario and in august of 2007 joined forces with West Virginia's Premature Burial and Toronto's Nitemare which would lead to the Operation Metal Storm, 10 days of playing shows from Scarborough to Timmins. Over the past 4 years the Crimson Warriors have been pillaging villages and sharing the stage with such acts as: Finntroll, Anvil, Holy Grail, Cauldron, Tyr, Unleash the Archers, Echoes of Eternity, 3 mile scream, Quo Vadis , Unexpect, Trail of Tears, Edguy, Morbid Angel, Cryptopsy, Blackguard, Alestorm, Insomnium and Dragon Force. In what seems to have been a revolving door with bass players, the band has brought in Morgan Rider from Vesperia for all live shows and future recorings. Their debut album "Glory on the Battlefield" was recorded at Shatterpoint Studios while being mixed and mastered at Silverwing Studios by Jonathan Lefrançois-Leduc (ex-Blackguard). After the release of "Glory on the Battlefield" in February of 2012 the band did a East Coast tour and played the Halifax "Spread the Metal" festival as well as playing all over Ontario and Quebec.Band Interests:the power of Ale and the riddle of Steel!" « hide |
