CANOBLISS is a San Diego, CA based five-piece progressive hard rock/metal band originally founded by Samson Pedroza (Lead Guitarist) and Chenzo Vidalez (Bassist). In early 2004, the band added brothers Mike Russo (Drummer) and Jon Russo (Rhythm Guitar). After an exhaustive search and hundreds of auditions, which ended in the summer of 2006, Canobliss added Johan Maldonado, a talented and versatile vocalist whose range complimented Canobliss’ style and sound. After an exhaustive search and hundreds of auditions, which ended in the summer of 2006, Canobliss added Johan Maldonado, a talented and versatile vocalist whose range complimented Canobliss’ style and sound. With their newly found line-up, Canobliss released their full-length CD “Liberation of Dissonance,” on July 21, 2007. Canobliss is proud to have completely produced L.O.D. from start to finish including all tracking, editing, mixing as well as creation, layout and assembling of the artwork. Beginning in March '08 Canobliss launched a successful national radio campaign to promote L.O.D., hitting the number 1 slot at KSLU-1 (St. Louis, MO) and KSAU (Nacogdoches, TX) in addition to breaking the top 10 at several others. Already, Canobliss has begun recording a brand new 7-song EP that is set to be released on July 19, 2008. The EP, entitled "Psychothermia", will be the sophomore release for the existing lineup. By exercising extensive promotion, relentless high-energy live shows and the ability to market themselves, Canobliss has developed a broad and continuously growing fan base without compromising their musical integrity.
