Blade Runner was a NWoBHM band from London, England. Formed in 1983 as White Tiger but changed name and scored a record deal with
Ebony Records (in Hull) even before Steve McKay joined the band. Two LPs were released, and then Blade Runner broke contract with Ebony
because of bad support, and moved to Derby and split up. Gary Jones later founded the hard rock band Phantasm along with drummer Dave
Dufort, vocalist Carol Hendrix and second guitarist Mark Wilde.
