The band signed a deal with Boomtown Records in 1990 which landed them distribution for a four song EP called "Pretty Things" with BMG. They
then released their self-titled debut album for the label in 1991. It was recorded at Prince's Paisley Park Studio in Minnesota and produced by
David Bendeth. Three singles were released, Dollar In My Pocket, All Nite and Baby Doll but despite some radio airplay none of them enjoyed
any chart success. Beakhouse was replaced by Jay Scott King (an American formerly of Back Street Kids) shortly after the release of the album.
After touring in support of the album with fellow Canadian hard rock acts Slik Toxik and Sven Gali in 1992 the band split up.
