Axi was born in 1984 in Maldegem, a town in Belgium. His musical interests began at a very young age, at first just messing around with trackers & music maker programs on his PC, but then he went to music academy and learned to play drums there for a few years. At the age of 15 he discovered drum & bass through his brother. After going to a few Drum & Bass parties he knew he had found his place.

Axi was born in 1984 in Maldegem, a town in Belgium. His musical interests began at a very young age, at first just messing around with trackers & music maker programs on his PC, but then he went to music academy and learned to play drums there for a few years. At the age of 15 he discovered drum & bass through his brother. After going to a few Drum & Bass parties he knew he had found his place.
A few months later he collected some records, bought his first mixer and started practicing on old turntables. In 2001, Axi bought his own PC and started producing tracks, he got in touch with Crossfire and formed a crew with him. The two played on a few Belgium parties but after a while he decided to focus more on producing and go his own way. His tunes got played out by some well known DJs and were noticed by Thesis from Atlanta who decided to sign Axi’s tunes to his own label, Corinthian Recordings. More bookings are coming in and with his first tunes signed, the future looks bright for this young DJ/producer. « hide |
