Abstract Reason is a Progressive Metal band based in Yverdon-les-Bains (VD) in Switzerland. Emerged in 2008 from the ashes of "Alive Or Just Breathing", Abstract Reason decided to orientate it's music in a more extreme and technical genre. A three songs demo recorded and mastered by Johann Meyer (now Gojira’s sound engineer) allows the band to play a lot of shows in Switzerland and also outside their home country. Emerged in 2008 from the ashes of "Alive Or Just Breathing", Abstract Reason decided to orientate it's music in a more extreme and technical genre. A three songs demo recorded and mastered by Johann Meyer (now Gojira’s sound engineer) allows the band to play a lot of shows in Switzerland and also outside their home country. After some line-up changes, the band has at present five members : Roman (guitar), Gilles (guitar), Florian (bass), Mladen (drums) and Daniel (vocals). This last line-up allows the band to share the stage with band such as Uneven Structure, Awaken Demons or Apostate just to name a few. With influences like Animals As Leaders, Born Of Osiris or Meshuggah, the band released his debut 3 songs EP on the 19th of May 2012 (again recorded and mastered by Johann Meyer). Always hard at work and now with a different musical approach, the band is ready to share its debut album Splendid Genesis (recorded, mixed and mastered at Conatus Studios by Vladimir Cochet of Mirrorthrone). It was released on January 24th 2015. Now with a more personal and conformable way to write songs, Splendid Genesis offers a fresh and original artistic experience. « hide |
