| 4.2 excellent | Erwann S. EMERITUS | March 25th 25 | One of the finest 90s French rap album, because of two men: DJ Mehdi and Kery James. The former (who would later produce for Mafia K'1 Fry and 113 before moving to the electronica label Ed Banger) delivers some of the prettiest and saddest loops of 90s French rap. These mostly melancholic, at times aggressive beats, proved to be the best breeding soil for Kery James hardcore yet very conscious and political diatribe. When these two get on the same tone like on the opening title track or "Un nuage de fumee", it definitely is among the best the genre has to offer.
