For an album that came out in 1988 this is a stunning achievement. One can certainly hear the influence of contemporaries like Dinosaur. Jr and Twin Tone bands, but, it's the math-rock guitar cool (that would so wonderfully color the subsequent band, Seam) and emotional resonance of the LP that sets it apart. A great EP!
