South Africa, my homeland, has a couple of exports that I believe are of note. Though Dave Matthews is an American fellow, he was born in SA. Trevor Rabin played in Yes from 1983 to 1994, across four of their albums, and went on to compose for film and build a healthy solo career. Bands like Kongos and Seether have done extremely well in mainstream rock, occupying the airwaves ad nauseam with tracks like "Come With Me Now" and "Remedy" respectively. We've had a good track record... well, at least, 'til these withering numb fucks spasmed on to the scene like two jack russels suffering from acute Parkinsons'. Appalling.

Die Antwoord's sophomore LP is incredibly unique and creative. Every beat is amazing and every song is catchy in its own insane way. Perhaps the band's tensions with their former label during the recording of this album made it even better. Regardless, it's surely something you won't ever forget.

Nope. C'est de mauvais gout. Now I'm wondering: has this album been quickly outdated musically, or was it trash back then? I guess the energetic live performances allowed them to gain a solid fanbase, but these beats and performances are so overworked and fucking hyper that even Farrah Abraham sounds like she knew exactly what she was doing. 1.6
