Commendable attempt at a prog-concept record, but I do think the band bit off a little more than they could chew.

This is an under-rated album of what could best be called "progressive metal." No one really saw this coming after the much rawer first two records but this has a regal power to it that is undeniable. However its strength is in its top not songwriting. A plus from their two previous records that is even better here.
