Review Summary: Distant Horizons provides very tasteful tracks, and a guaranteed powerful flow of melodies and impressive guitar works that would probably distinguish this band from others in the same genre.

The Melodic-Hardcore scene is becoming really stagnant, and making it's way to the worst. Bands with uncreative hands and poor potential dominated the abundant genre. Despite the horrid happenings, we can't deny that some bands continue to show it's sharpened talents. In Motions, one of Australia's ambitious bands i recently discovered, is constantly growing and gaining popularity in an instant. Due to their passion for music and major endeavors, they really stood up from other bands. The formula really worked, intricate melodies along with creative guitar work with effective screams, In Motions pulled it perfectly and came up with their album, Distant Horizons.

Carried by a strong vocal screams, accompanied by melodic guitar work and once in a while tremendous breakdowns, In Motions produced an EP that exceeds the standards of modern day Melodic-Hardcore. While their capability of creating songs is just a start, they also have a great premise for their tracks.

An Introduction, the first track, provides a very strong and enjoyable start for the album: Drum work at it's best, dominating guitar melodies physically provides an energetic feeling. Being well-executed giving it a slight edge, it's an ambitious intro that provides dark, yet hopeful atmosphere without spoiling the whole record as early as possible in a vicious manner.

The great flow of music is what gives this album superiority. Amazing screams continue to shine, lack of cleans gives an eerie, bothersome feeling, but doesn't change the fact that the genuine screams sustained it. Guitars never failed it's duty. Tremendous riffs are at a great scale, and it never fails to amaze me while listening to the whole album. Although there are parts that is obviously raw that you will feel it's redundancy, the record doesn't suffer from major flaws. The flourishing musicianship of the band is truly powerful, their ideas fit perfectly, and many people will continue to relish this truly epic record.

Recommended Tracks: Black and White, Distant Horizons, Anesthetized.
