Review Summary: A good album, good if you're trying to get into the Who.
When I first heard about the British Invasion, I immediately thought of the Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. Then one of my friends asked me if I have ever heard of the Who? I said “Who?” (not trying to make a joke), and then he put on this album. He eventually let me borrow it. I was amazed at it. That CD was The Who 20th Century Masters. Okay now onto the review.(Oh yeah, I have no clue what you’re suppose to have in the review, so please tell me what to improve in the comments)
My generation is the first song off of the track Pretty good opening riff, with obviously good singing from Roger Daltrey, with the back up lyrics repeating talking about my generation in the background. Happy Jack is a kind of average song imo, about a kid who kids make fun of but they can’t make him stop being happy. Okay song. I can see for miles is another average song (I don’t mean average as a bad thing just I think that other songs would be better choices) Good vocals and guitar work like always. Of course Keith Moon playing amazing drumming so I shouldn’t even have to mention him anymore. Then comes a personal favorite of mine Magic Bus. For some freaking reason I am addicted to this song. I like everything about it, but that probably won’t be the case for most others. Then comes one of The Who’s biggest songs Pinball Wizard. The songs about Tommy who is deaf, dumb, and blind but is a Pinball Wizard. Then comes one of my least favorite who songs, Squeeze Box. Something about it I just hate. Behind Blue Eyes is next. It’s another one of my favorite Who songs. The only part I don’t like is the stick my finger down my throat part. Then there’s Who are you? It starts out with my favorite riff of all time, and then goes into the chorus. Overall amazing song. The next two songs I don’t really like, Join Together, and Won’t get Fooled again. I don’t think either of them are good.
Well there’s my crappy short review. Please tell me how to become better.
