Review Summary: Just like other top acts such as Torsofu*k, Gore Bash deliver jarring, brutal and relevant musical mayhem.

Remember that movie called PRECIOUS? That one where Mo'nique threw a frying pan at her daughters head and ate hogs feet. Yeah, that one. Well, I seem to recall it's tagline:
"Life is Hard. Life is short. Life is Painful. Life is rich. Life is Precious." I only bring it up, because a simillar tagline could be applied to Gore Bash:
"Gore Bash is Br00tal. Gore Bash is Harsh. Gore Bash is Painful. Gore Bash is violent. Gore Bash has recorded an EP".
The wonderful world of metal and its subgenres boasts an endless list of brutality - bringing artists: Pig Destroyer. Converge. The Black Dahlia Murder. Cannibal Corpse. Ted Nugent.
But Midsummer Glutton is an offering from a band quite unlike any of the above. Firstly, you probably haven't heard of Gore Bash. And secondly, Gore Bash has a song called 'Slut City'.

The thing about Gore Bash is, that these Motherfu*kers just don't let up. Listeners will soon realize this after the opening moments of 'Midsummer Glutton'. The jagged riffs hook the listener down to be mercilessly pummelled by the relentless drumming, and the whole affair is mighty brutal. The most notable element though, and the key to Gore Bash's arsenal, are the vocals. They resemble a toad simultaneously belching and farting whilst blowing bubbles through the straw of a double-chocolate maltshake. This demonic slurping brings to mind the image of human dregs pouring through a collander, and that is the exact fate of all who opose the might of Gore Bash.

The thing about Gore Bash is, that these Motherfu*kers are so darn consistent. The Brutality of the opening title track is exactly the same as the Brutality of the closing track, 'Obliterate The Scene Kids', as well as every track in between. What more evidence does one need of Gore Bash's ability to create solid, passionate and devastating grindcore that just never lets up?

That's the thing about Gore Bash, these Motherfu*kers just never stop grinding.

Eh, I think this is more metal than punk, but I submitted the album based on the description Torn FLesh Records gave it.

Band is good, but certainly not unique. They kinda sound like every other generic slam band, you probably just don't listen to any slam. EP is sick though, thanks for letting me know about it. Good review, have a pos

Uh, I kind of realize there's nothing unique about them. Most of this review was me being stupid. Thanks for the pos though.
