Review Summary: Punk Rock music that actually sounds like Punk Rock music.
Structurally, each song is on average two and a half to three minutes long. Pretty normal. And musically, it's nothing awe-inspiring, which does not mean that they're bad, but at the same time it feels like it wouldn't matter if it was bad, they'd still practically be as fun to listen to. Heck, it would even reinforce the Punk attitude. The singer gives off vibes of Tim Armstrong of Racid at times, and at other times ("Let's Have a Wreck") is reminiscent of Deryck Whibly of Sum 41 (But don't let that detract you).
Lyrically, it's mostly about destruction and going against authority, if that wasn't already clear. And like many Punk Rock bands, they're just fine cursing like sailors. What truly makes makes this album a 3.5 in my books and not a 2.5 or a 3 is just how fun each song is. Raw, messy, distorted, and...catchy. Yes, that's right, can actually be quite sing along worthy.
Overall, Drive A's "The World In Shambles" album is an aggressive, dirty, fun album.
