Recorded at almost legendary Black Ark Studio, Police and Thieves is probably one of the finest albums produced by Lee 'Scratch' Perry at this time. Murvin's soaring voice just fades perfectly with the music. It also contains the classic 'Police and Thieves' that inspired the Clash on their self-titled album.
