Petra has been around since the early 70s and their sound has changed a few different times to reflect the current decade they were in. Their earliest albums had what we would today consider a classic rock sound. They even wrote that "God gave rock n roll to you" song that kiss later rewrote and made famous. This album has nothing to do with their classic rock sound of their earlier albums. For a 1987 Christian Rock album that wasn't "cheesy" at the time and had some great God orientated Rock and Roll songs this album was excellent. Those of us who like the Christian rock genre of the late 80s and early 90s usually consider this album a great addition to our music catalog (by that I mean tape collection). There are at least five songs on here that fans of the band would consider "essential" Petra.
