Review Summary: As bad as it gets
Many people say all new music sucks, and that all older music is Superior. I beg to differ. There are many good new bands out there, such as Scar Symmetry and Dragonforce. There are also a fair share of bands I don't like, such as Asking Alexandria and Fall Out Boy. However, the internet has lately become a easy way for bands with no talent to become well known. Such as WeCameWithBrokenTeeth and Blood On The Dance Floor. Dot Dot Curve was one of those bands that was popular on Myspace, and I'm sure without Myspace, this "band" would of forever be in it's dark ages before disbanding. If it would have even existed at all. But there is a great reason for that, a very, very, good reason.
This band provides us with a very odd and sloppy style of Crunkcore. Crunkcore is already a genre that is already complete ****. It's the only genre I know that has no redeeming qualities to it. Dot Dot Curve only takes this Genre to an even more horrendous level that not even 3OH!3 or BrokeNCYDE could imagine. It's that bad.
To start off with, the vocals are more autotuned than any Lil Wayne album or even an Owl City album. Owl City's autotuning is very tame compared to this duo. The main vocalist has this very strange tone to his "Voice" (Which as I said, is very autotuned) Not even words can describe how bad it sounds.
It also sounds this band used a very cheap program to make this album. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised one bit if they downloaded it for free off Download.com. The beats are pretty generic and very fuzzy sounding as well, like in Blood On The Dance Floor's "Let's Start A Riot" but much worse.
The lyrics are the most cliche "scene" lyrics out there. They have two themes, partying, and whining about haters. The lyrics in this album make Cannibal Corpse look like Lou Reed. With lyrics like "Love the way this kid looks ***** you silly
**** MY LIFE" and "I am the freak that you ****in' stare at I am the freak that stares right I am the freak that you want to smack I am the freak that just don't care". If these guys were trolls they would get an award from me, sadly, I don't think that is the case with this.
I have no clue how this got in F.Y.E. The only song were they even try to make any real music is "Thr3e1Se7en". Just avoid this album at all cost. Don't waste money on something like this, this is truly as bad as it gets.
