| 4.0 excellent | mandan | April 27th 14 | Carmine Appice does a fine job on this one. However, this album is more of a historical relic than anything else. Worth looking into for the influence it had on bands like Deep Purple and Black Sabbath.

| 3.0 good | Bloodnutter09 | October 31st 24 | I'll preface this by saying it's hard to give an album of covers a high rating as the writing was done by someone else. A single cover on an album is a great addition and can show depth, but maybe this was music back then (something that isn't done too much these days). The direction the Vanilla Fudge had taken with this first release was great and enjoyable. In fact the reason I went and fished this one out for a listen was because it was suggested that there are roots of metal on this record which I can definitely hear but can see how it get lost amongst higher energy releases. The hardest part about the listen was the awful mixing with the keys volume being so jarring and inconsistent.
