Review Summary: I was curious if a band with such a great live show could pull that off on a low budget self recorded EP... The answer is yes! For any hard rock lovers the Obsession EP will most likely fall into taste!

I must admit that i had big expectations for the EP, and with good reason! I've seen the band live several times and each time they've deliver hell of a concert. So i was really curious if they could put all that energy they have on stage also into this record. I can tell you this. The EP didn't let me down a single bit!

01 - "She Brings It All" - 3:56 (5 out of 5)
02 - "White Sheets" - 4:43 (4 out of 5)
03 - "Obsession (Your Love)" - 3:37 (5 out of 5)
04 - "Stories Told" - 5:27 (5 out of 5)
05 - "Make It Alright" - 6:04 (3 out of 5)

"She Brings It All" - Probably the first song i ever heard from the band. It starts with distorted screams by Mr. Hollywood Jack and guitar play by Thorbie. The drums comes in and the guitar play continues and after some seconds to whole band is playing. It's truly a song that really makes your head spin. It might be kind of the same all the way but somehow Acid Garden manage to pull of a trick that makes it interesting the whole song through. At the end of the song in the last chorus Mr Hollywood Jack preforms a what sounds like some kind of AC/DC-like vocals. Amazing song! 5/5

"White Sheets" - No time for slowing down cause right now it's only getting hotter and hotter baby! "White Sheets" is actually the competition song Acid Garden used at the annual metal fest "Rock Against Drugs" in 2009. The song is upbeat and features amazing vocal performance by Mr. Hollywood Jack. I specially enjoy listening to the vocals in the start of the songs were he sings "my head keeps spinning while she's dragging me down". The chorus is the part of the song that i like a little less. I don't know, it get's a little bit too cliche for my taste with the whole band choirs "White Sheets". Not their best song, but still pretty decent and catchy as hell! 4/5

"Obsession (Your Love)" - Okay, now we are slowing a little bit down. It was getting a little bit to hot in here! But... guess what?! THIS little ***er is hotter than anything you'll find on the EP! My absolute favorite Acid Garden song, Obsession (Your Love)! It's not really slow and it's not really fast. But it sure is beautiful. Everything with the song is amazing. It even got a little cute breakdown that ends with the chorus kicking in harder with a little choir with it in the back. Man, that THIS would come from a Norwegian local hard rock band... I would never believed it. 5/5

"Stories Told" - Man... is this from Norway? I mean... it's so damn beautiful! Yes, it's another slower track. But a slower track by a hard rock band doesn't mean it's worse. Because this song is just so damn beautiful and powerful! It's just amazing. It starts slow and soft but later it evolves into one hell of an explosion that takes your mind to another galaxy! Amazing. I have no words. Mr. Hollywood Jack and Thorbie? Hell of a job on this one! 5/5.

"Make It Alright" - At first, i didn't really like this song. But it has grown on me now. Guess i didn't like it that much because of the vocals. They are not bad, but there is a effect on it that makes it sound old or anything. I actually thought it was kind of scary at first! But yeah, the song is decent! But I'm afraid to say that the last song on the EP is the worst as well. 3/5.

I really like this band. I love their concerts, and i also loved this EP! Only 100 copies of it was made, so i am so glad i will have it! After all, it's the first EP by Norway's most promising hard rock band to date! The EP is amazing. It's beautiful, powerful and catchy as hell, good job guys! Seriously, to be an EP that's record by the band them selves and a low budget? It's really, really good!

PS, there is no way (as far as I know) of obtaining another copy of this release, so if you want to check them out you'll need to head over to their myspace page streaming the whole thing.

I'm not being an ass, but track by tracks are generally low culture here.
