DIVIDED is the second, and unfortunately , the final and last album for this amazing Dutch band , lead by one of the most incredible and talented guitar players- MARCEL COENEN ! Making a strong impression with the debut album- INSIGHTS- the band managed to push with this album even more their amazing technical and compositional skills by offering to the prog metal fans an album even more complete and complex that the first one !DIVIDED is at least at the same caliber as the debut one, it's even better ! Everything is a t a superior level and the guys are doing here an amazing job, tracks like CHILDHOOD FACADE, LETHE'S BOWL or SOLILOCIDE, plus the title track being some prog metal standards and classics of the genre !Even the prog version of the mega hit BEAT IT of MICHAEL JACKSON is a spark of genius, with it's jazzy interlude and trumpets, showing an endless and wild imagination from thus guys !Unfortunately after this album they split and MARCEL COENEN started a new chapter in his career with SUN CAGED, another sensational prog metal band !In conclusion, DIVIDED is a classic prog metal gem, a fantastic album with sensational compositions, great instrumental virtuosity and masterful playing by some very competent musicians! 5 satrs for a prog metal masterpiece !
