As expected, the Viral Load side is completely amazing whereas the Putrid Pile side sounds like outtakes from his last album, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Shawn Whitaker is clearly the more talented artist, but it didn't take a split to prove that. Dog Food Lube and Cod Piece Face are the highlights, even though Shawn re-used an intro riff from his latest Insidious Decrepancy album on the latter. Speaking of which, the second track sounds a lot more like ID than VL (not a bad thing in my opinion).
