4.0 excellent | Alex C. | March 14th 15 | Great japanese post-rock, reminescent of Mono and other 10 thousand bands but what a brilliant soundtrack - one of the few Anime I actually enjoyed

3.0 good | Gary STAFF | October 26th 22 | Some truly fantastic melodies, but as an album it's not that groundbreaking. However, it functioned perfectly as the soundtrack of the show. "L's Theme" is one of the best character-themes ever.

2.0 poor | GhandhiLion | January 7th 19 | Really lame post rock with some Aphex Twin and Tubular Bells rip offs thrown in. The
atmosphere fits the show well tho
Despite my rating, I find this to be a good example of how the innovations of 90s
post-rock have spread throughout music. This st may have been important
for the japanese underground in the 2000s.. helping to dilute the meaning of post-rock.

4.5 superb | sizeofanocean | February 20th 17 | Superb. If you dig Godspeed You!, Mogwai, Russian Circles and similar artists, you will love most of this album. Has also an orchestral and electronical/minimalistic touch to it, which makes it all the more suiting to an epic story like Death Note.
