Not so sure why everyone's getting so down on the idea of a compilation disc. Elliott Smith is my favorite musician ever, and this compilation is actually pretty solid. It isn't called "greatest hits" or "the definitive collection"...it's called "An Introduction". And with those intentions for the buyer, it does a great job. Nice mix, some unexpected songs (glad to see Happiness make the cut). If it's enough to get someone interested in checking out more of his brilliant discography, it's serves its purpose. And I think it will.
