While Schatten Aus Der Alexanderwelt was a major move away from black metal which has ended up in a rather mixed bag of everything, Mein Weg is one more step towards doomy "Neue Deutsche Harte" but is a much more focused and solid album. Excellent vocals, atmospheres both romantic, morbid and fun, a rather unique work from asylum-dwellers and one of the best experimental metal albums of 2000s. My Way cover could've been more interesting though, yet a nod to Nothing Else Matters in Felbel Fittich always makes me smile.
