A staple album of the 90s Britpop era, K is the debut from the London-based quartet Kula Shaker. Musically, the band has the crossover appeal of Oasis as the psychedelic elements from the 60s along with the vocal style of Crispian Mills, tick many similarity boxes with the Mancunian stars. However, what differentiates Kula Shaker from the kings of Britpop and other contemporaries such as The Verve and Stone Roses, is the generous usage of sitar and tamboura in many of the songs here. The use of such instruments along with certain lyrics in Indian, channel a mysticism which supports the band's obsession with the Eastern culture. Tony recommends: "Knight on the Town", "Hey Dude", "Start All Over", "Tattva", "Govinda", "303"
