I have never listened to something that even comes close to the annoyance that Music Machine brings to my ears. TV Off, a synthpop tag team featuring female vocals, is almost indescribable. The musical aspect is perfectly fine, nothing out of ordinary in terms of synthpop, and it remains quite listenable throughout the entire album. However, once we get to the nonsensical vocals and lyrics you get this sudden urge to rip the cd out of its player and throw it in the ocean. Tracks like Pillows and Shortcakes or Honey are just unbearable because of this fact.
