| 4.5 superb | resident sputbirb with fancy hat | October 11th 25 | Listening to this album just now has made me breathe a sigh of relief. Loved all three singles and hoped the more experimental approach would continue on the album tracks. For some reason the more recent album teaser left me completely cold and the way the album opened didn't give me that much hope. There they are again, the "WOAH OH OH" chants which a bunch of holo albums have to open with this year apparently. The song itself is a fine opener though, great energetic solo, nice vocal melodies. Very traditional but enjoyable (apart from the chants). Prescription has a much more interesting instrumental and Bloom is probably the blandest example of jpop on this album. After that though, the album explodes into a bouquet of variety and experimentation and ends up delivering everything I had hoped for since hearing the singles. Cleansing the Soul especially impressed with the best vocal performance on the album, such a beautiful track. Between Aster and this, I'm very happy to say that this ended up being the superior album for me. Towa and everyone else involved cooked.
