In a way I'm massively underrating this record - the quality on a track by track basis is quite high - but pacing very much effects my enjoyment of an album and this LP has next to none. Some songs are more house-y, others more straight R&B, but the record chugs along at a relatively similar volume and BPM for its 59 minute entirety. This results in a certain sameness that makes the many highlights not pop as much as they would on a tighter, shorter album.
