| 3.5 great | Gary STAFF | September 5th 25 | Ghostigmatah ? Spiritual Rites of the Psychopomp Abxulöm is another gigantic Esoctrilihum release, but not another flawless one. Ashtagul should finally admit: he can't sing well, and it feels awkward to listen to his efforts. Otherwise, this album doesn't feel that new as expected, but still, it contains some really brutal ("The Cosmic Deathbringer Comes, Riding A Bloody Horse Of Goshenite") or interesting ("Supplication Of The Veiled Saint From The Secret Book Of The Ghostigmatah Rites") songs too. But in general: this album feels a bit samey, but still delivers the typical Esoctrilihum-level madness!

| 4.5 superb | Vlexis | October 16th 25 | An unhinged marriage between his typical unrelenting heaviness, and the more exploratory psychedelic side exhibited on his prior album. Flesh Pierced by the Blades of Thritônh, Eyes Devoured by Vulth Suidarl, The Giant Fly (say that five times fast!) is my favorite track, and one of the most deliriously strange things Asthagul has ever concocted.
