Comparing this to the new Deadguy feels like a fever. That album is excellent but it's definitely curtailed slightly by age and rust. For last being active around the same time, this sounds like a fresh young band. It's ferocious and nothing feels recycled, Brian's vocals are liquid fire, and the riffs and textures here are thick with grit.

This came up as a rec for metallic hardcore and I thought to myself...no way this is the same band as the 90s Catharsis I so adored...but to my jubilation, it is and their crust punk tinged metallic hardcore still sounds oh so good.
