Another great record from these Chicago mainstays. The lead single Cold Comfort might be my favorite song of 2025 so far. The one-two punch of Redwood Creek to Palos Hills, with great female vocal leads supported by Thymme--who himself has a wonderful singing voice--is just great stuff. I hope this band never stops making music. They advertised this as their best record yet and it's true that it certainly ranks among their best. But there's just something about that Salad Days record. It's one of my favorite LPs of all time.

One word to sum this up: Smooth. Yes, the album explores several different styles and some songs are notably "rockier" than others, but it's generally an easy-on-the-ears listen, albeit with so much going on it's hard to take it all in the first time round. The soaring vocals on "Weird Organ" and "Die for Me" are absolutely gorgeous.
