| 3.5 great | Antonius | May 13th 25 | The band's third studio release opens with the blazing 'Oh Yeah' before giving the floor to the rowdy 'Wild Wild Woman'. Valenti?s vocal prowess is extraordinary throughout the album and the writing chemistry with guitarist Davey is undeniable. Beaux Gris Gris and the Apocalypse is essentially a rootsy blues band at heart but in the album's mid section they throw some classic, groove laden 60?s pop and soul into the mix. The third part finds the band incorporating country and Americana characteristics as they move from the salient story telling of ?Penny Paid Rock Star? to the emotive ?Marie?, before closing Hot Nostalgia Radio with the brisky, accordion-driven 'Mama Cray'. Tony recommends: "Oh Yeah!", "Wild Woman", "Middle of the Night", "Don't Let Go".
