A mix of black metal, poppy chiptune, and even some pop-punkish moments in there, with a
mix of screams and distant cleans. When I was reading what it was, it sounded like a
disaster, but I can't lie, this isnt too bad. The drums are pretty digitized-sounding, but I
guess that goes well with all the cute little bleeps and bloops. And some of the synth
melodies sit surprisingly well next to the underlying melancholic atmosphere. By the end,
the purposeful mishmashing of these very disparate styles still feels a bit forced, but I'm
intrigued enough to check a couple more albums.
