| 4.5 superb | cjbizzlebizzle | August 3rd 25 | Tatekieto starts off with big energy in its first two tracks showcasing why this latin alternative/cumbia record is one of the most fun and simultaneously most interesting records of 2025. The songs are as musically interesting and intricate as they are catchy and joyous, a hard mix of elements to find in a lot of jazzy projects. Favorite moments include the breakneck pace at the end of 'Tabogo' as intense vocals synchronize in rhythm with dissonant wind instruments, the transition from flute solo to impressive rap bars in 'Croissant', and the truly unique blend of instrumentation to create the main melodies on 'El Gran Godzilla'. While this record doesn't reinvent the wheel musically it presents complex music in a very approachable manner while making it extremely fun and energetic.
