Marcel have always been a weird bunch, but they've never made it as evident as on o fornaiz (don't know what the fuck that would mean). Their noisy art punk features surreal lyricism and atmosphere, smashing classic French songwriting with industrial or free jazz freakouts among the constant pummeling of the drum'n'bass duo. Weird shit that can display fragile intimacy and explosive destruction, making for an unsettling yet strangely hypnotic listen.
