| 5.0 classic | Assemblage | February 15th 25 | Hands down a classic of the video game genre/niche and absolutely formative, unique and totally consistent in its industrial composition. The incorporation of 'Paint It Black' in the end credits was a jaw-dropping move in contrast with each driver's final cutscene and ensured 100's of watchings for the end credits on my end. The main title theme goes so hard, it's one of the most underground and underrated compositions of all time. For a good long while after this game's release, nothing was listened to more than this. Not all the tracks are capable of standing out on their own, and admittedly are somewhat repetitive amidst themselves, but when worked in combination with the gameplay and the increasing stakes that the game creates within the levels, it adds for a delirious and intoxicating effect. 5 fucking stars.
