The first and the last tracks are memorable and highlights but this blend of atmospheric noise pop/shoegaze doesn't really end up standing out above the pack. The cold, melancholic atmosphere is captivating at times and definitely a good album for the winter and there are some nice instrumental and production choices but it feels like the album rarely reaches a high point.

Asian Glow's formula of nostalgic emo noise indietronica is once more carried by dense and layered soundscapes, but this time the real MVP is the drumming performance - way more engaging than usual for them. Not all tracks manage to deliver the vivid crescendos AG has accustomed us to, but the ones that leverage the emotional buildup into big explosions are peak modern emogaze.
