| 4.0 excellent | cjbizzlebizzle | December 31st 24 | Excellent riot grrrl/hardcore that also has some 90s grunge/alt vibes in the mix. The album opens up with two intense tracks in 'Gas Pedal' and 'Die (and Rot)' which feature super heavy metal guitar tones and a nice mixture of sung and growled/yelled vocals. Die (and Rot) might be the best track on the album with a ferocious first verse building into a wonderful tension release in a brutal chorus. Things aren't all heavy, 'Blind Yourself' is one of the better tracks on the album and opens up almost like a Deftones song wandering with less distorted guitars and singing before finally exploding at the end. Reminds me a bit of what Die Spitz did on 'Teeth' but amping up the heaviness and metal influence even more.
