A more or less "back to the roots" record: Exultation of Cruelty is a raw black metal album, but far less melodic than the first few albums in the discography. This album is more like a respectful nod to bands like Judas Iscariot and the icons from Les Légions Noires (Mütiililation, Vlad Tepes). So yeah, it's great. Update: the raw version is generally better, just slightly below 4.0.
