| 4.0 excellent | cjbizzlebizzle | July 24th 25 | Efficiency is one of the keys to this album as Heet Deth make the most out of two instruments and some great vocals to create a garage/noise rock/punk formula that captures the anxiety and dissonance of noisy punk and the rhythmic, catchy aspects of rock. The music is angry overall but also feels anthemic at times with good hooks and song structures that make use of powerful tension dynamics, good alternation between loud busy riffs and sparse interludes. Highlights are brooding openings of 'Laundromat' leading into an explosive conclusion, the noise-groove-noise dynamics and the lyrics of 'Scroll Dance', and the song G&T in its entirety. One thing that can't be understated is the vocals which alternate between catchy singing, yelling and screaming, nice variety!
