| 3.5 great | cjbizzlebizzle | April 28th 25 | As someone who loved (9/10) their first record, this initially felt like quite the shock and on the whole it is a fairly large shift in sound to timid and soft twee pop compared to 'Versions of Modern Performance'. After sometime the tracks themselves warm up and there is still a lot to like here such as 'Where'd You Go?', '2468' and 'Switch Over' and instrumentally sometimes there is true beauty in the simplicity of it all. Initially was a 3/5 but unfairly I think the live show kind of tipped me toward a 3.5. That being said, the production and the insistence of using la la la/da da da/do do do so much here was quite a let down. I don't wanna call out Cate Le Bon but I hope they work with someone else on their next project.

| 3.2 good | Erwann S. EMERITUS | February 27th 25 | Horsegirl's second album continues its "90s hazy summer indie" shtick, with a tad less dynamics than on their debut.
