I have come to appreciate the experience that comes with a sungazer project (let alone anything Adam Neely creates). The spectacle and intricacies that are put forth on anything this band creates is something to not take lightly. What?s even more impressive is this new album by the duo is the simplistic they have created. Focusing much heavier on progressive rock and electronics in their very wonky nu jazz there is a really beautiful balance going on here. Everything just sounds so grand and intricate that it?s hard not to be entertained throughout the listening experience. My biggest flaw is the back half of the album does lose a bit of steam, which makes sense for how fun the front half is.
