| 4.0 excellent | lz41 | December 1st 24 | "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb" is really where the rot started to creep in for U2. So it is surprising that this 20th edition leftovers compilation yields some livelier and groovier songs in 'Treason', 'Happiness' and 'Evidence of Life' (the glibly titled 'All Because of You 2' is superior to the original by virtue of excising that wretched "voice/tortoise" rhyme). Would it have elevated "Dismantle" to something more than the middle-of-the-road 00s stadium radio rock album we now know? Maybe but only maybe.rPerhaps it is not surprising that we discover on "Re-Assemble" that U2 missed a trick with their final track selection. Its parent album is, after all, the beginning of the band's tendency to be its own worst enemy overriding their greatness.
