For me, Heriot are at their best when they're not doing straightforward song structures. If they
went full 'post' / shoegaze but with their trademark heaviness and the songs were longer and had
more time to breathe, they would be exceptional. Visage is a case in point, excellent song, but
much too short. Either way, will look forward to whatever they put out next.

@Durrzo, if it weren't for heavy parts the atmospheric, melodic parts wouldn't sit that well. And
it would end up being bland and boring... It is good as it is.

The purely heavy stuff is kinda boring, but as Mystic mentioned, the more post influenced and atmospheric stuff is very cool. She has such a beautifully haunting voice which works wonders with that style. I feel like emphasis on part of their sound paired with a smattering of more intense moments would result in something infinitely more interesting than this.
