Kate has continued to be a rather interesting singer/songwriter artist. She has the potential to go toe to toe with the biggest names in the genre currently like Phoebe and Clairo, but something that has always held her back (which also plagues this new album) is that she has a hard time distinguishing herself from those artists mentioned. Much of this project sits comfortably in the very soft rock style that Clairo has been playing with as late. Plus it has the lyrical depth of a Phoebe project. But it?s just hard to separate this artist from these ones mentioned. But it?s still a fun listening experience and had a lot of punch to it when it?s on.
