3.0 gooddidnt ask to be staff, was made staff anyway, then got demoted for not doing staff stuff | August 3rd 24

The full version of 'Stanpede' shows Orville's adorable camp that carried the bulk of 'Bronco' clash once again with his insistence on being uber-serious, which tanked the rest of his efforts. I suppose that the project is, more than anything else, an effort of Orville's to solidify his presence among his peers, inviting queer and country icons to perform alongside him, proving his status as an underground-to-mainstream icon. And if some songs end up hitting home, then that's just a nice bonus.

2.6 averageErwann S. EMERITUS | August 25th 24

An album full of featurings is usually a bad sign, and Stampede ain't no exception: Peck goes for a sappy, least-common-denominator country that lost all the grit he showed on his previous records.
