There is a lot to like about this new collaborative album from two underground MCs. There is a lot of interesting ideas and beats on here, but I am having a hard time enjoying much of what is presented here. ?Nobody Planning to Leave? is a dense and intricate underground rap record, but it also feels a lot like many modern abstract and conscious hip hop record. The duo has a hard time separating themselves from many of the artists they are influenced by. Still if you love modern abstract hip hop then you should definitely give this a listen, has a lot to offer, just not exactly for me.
