Can we not pretend that this is even remotely decent? This is the lowest common denominator, this is a musician taking all the most basic tropes of modern pop country, slapping some of the most boring, uninspired features on almost every track and claiming to be growing as an artist and wanting to take risks. This isn't taking a risk; this is a marketing strategy. All the brain-dead Jason Aldean fans will bump and grind to this bullshit without fail.

Nothing groundbreaking but it is a nice collection of all the styles of popular country that dominates the charts. Post Malone's voice is excellent and fits into any style. The musicians are excellent but except for a few tracks that are very well crafted, the other ones can feel a bit generic and don't showcase Malone's personality which is a shame.

it's not great but it's better than the lion's share of modern country. meh. It's offensively catchy and least doesn't contain any fascism.

Pretty run-of-the-mill modern country-pop record. Post's voice does fit well in this genre but the crystal clear production and aggressive pitch correction doesn't do the record any favors aside from making it sound offensively "clean." The bloated track listing laden with guest features delivers mostly average results with a few standout tracks sprinkled in. This is a very safe record for radio, bars, karaoke, and tailgates; however, I wouldn't go so far as to call it "bad" or "low effort."
